PROFILE
I have a bachelor degree Industrial Design Engineering at the The Hague University of Professional Education and currently I am doing my masters in Media Technology at the University of Leiden. As a Industrial Design Engineer I was trained to be an all-round product designer, with knowledge of production techniques/materials/physics /marketing and skills with regard to hand sketches, designing, model making and computer (such as 3D-CAD and Photoshop). As a student in the Media Technology program I learn how to do research in a creative way and I learn a lot about Interaction and multimedia design. I can work together with different people and work independent as well. I am an outgoing, passionate and enthusiastic person, who wants to see the world. In addition to this I did a 6 months internship at Daifuku Designs in Barcelona and I traveled through Brazil for 4 months.

[Student assistant, part time]· I have been a student assistant of lecturer Maarten Lamers and professor Bas Haring in the Creative Research course.
MV Yachts [August 2006 - February 2007 ]
[Designer]· After my graduation project they gave me the opportunity to continue as an employee in the company.
· My main job was designing a new type of yacht, the Runabout. I made different designs and deck layouts based on the existing hull used for the earlier types.
· Besides the Runabout I did a lot of other things like designing a folder, other graphical work and designing new parts for their current types of yachts.
MV Yachts [February 2006 -July 2006 ]
[Graduation project]· At MV Yachts I did my graduation project. I always loved boats and here I could learn all the ins and outs.
· I designed a modular top for 3 different types of yachts. A great project with a great result.
Daifuku Designs Barcelona [February 2005 -July 2005]
[Designer]· As an all round designer I worked on projects involving lamps, furniture, bathroom equipment and model making.
· Here I learned how it is to work in a real company, dealing with clients and working independent under special circumstances.
· It was a great experience to work in a design company, experiencing the Spanish culture and see your work being produced.

VOLUNTEER WORKK
Water Scouts [2001 – current]
[Leader, Technical staff, Cooking staff]· Since 16 years I have been a member of the water scouts and since 7 years I am a volunteer at this non profit organization for children.
· I have been a member of the Technical staff for two years where I did maintenance of the equipment and boats and the renovation of our 36 meter long ship.
· I have been leader of a group 16 and 17 year old children. Here I was sailing instructor, organized trips and weekends and accompanied them every Saturday and during summer camps.
· I accompanied the group for the last couple of years on all the summer camps as cooking staff where I prepared three meals a day for 60 people.
Organization of a summer camp [2001]
[Member of the commission]· I organized a summer camp for 60 people together with 3 other people in this commission.
Student Organization ‘Via Forma’ [2003 - 2005]
[member of the party commission]· Together with 6 other people I organized 5 parties a year for our student organization. All the parties were on different locations and with different themes. We also organized a big Christmas dinner every year.
